Further to my earlier announcement, this letter is to confirm that regretfully we have had to cancel the cruise. This follows the decision of the Spanish authorities to close their ports to cruise ships because of the COVID-19 pandemic situation.
The closure of these ports, which was out of our control, impacted heavily on our planned itinerary for your cruise. While we actively investigated alternative routes for you so that we could still give you a holiday with us, sadly none were feasible. Oceana will now be returning to the UK and our plan is to arrive back on Wednesday.
In recognition of this change, you will be issued with a Future Cruise Credit for 100% of the fare you paid. Your Future Cruise Credit can be used for a new booking made before 31 December 2021 and can be redeemed against any P&O Cruises holiday sailing before 31 March 2022.
We all appreciate this is incredibly disappointing news for you, but I would like to thank you for your understanding.
We still have our entertainment onboard as we make our way back to Southampton, so we hope you continue to enjoy your stay on Oceana with us.
Once again, we are so sorry for this unscheduled change of plan and we look forward to welcoming you on board again in future.
