Together with our medical experts and colleagues in our Southampton office, we are closely monitoring the dynamic and evolving situation, including reflecting the very latest advice from the World Health Organization, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Public Health England. Many national authorities have also implemented their own measures, and this has resulted in an increasing number of international travel restrictions and port closures. As a result of the latest restrictions the next cruise on Britannia departing on 14th March can no longer go ahead and is cancelled.
Some guests for this cruise are already on board and some are due to depart today. Please find the options for these guests below, along with communications that have taken place.
Guests already on board Britannia
For those guests onboard, they will be given the option to either stay on and have a 10 night cruise back to Southampton with a 125% Future Cruise Credit and £300 Onboard spend will be added to their account. Alternatively they can opt to fly home, however we can’t guarantee the exact date of this yet. These guests will be offered 100% Future Cruise Credit. If the Future Cruise Credit isn’t satisfactory then they can have a full refund.
Attached is a copy of our communication to guests onboard.
Guests due to fly to Barbados on 14th March
For guests due to fly out to Britannia tomorrow, we have contacted guests overnight to advise them that their cruise will not be going ahead. They will be offered a future cruise credit of 125% of the fare which can be used against any new future booking. It can be used for a new booking made before 31 December 2021 and may be redeemed against any P&O Cruises holiday sailing before 31 March 2022. If this isn’t satisfactory we will be offering a 100% refund.
