MSC update 12th August 2020

We are currently dealing with MSC Sailings up to and including the 07th October 2020

Following up on MSC’s previous communications regarding the cancelled cruises and the possible restart of operations in August, MSC now wish to provide you with a further update.
Please note that at the present time MSC are in the very final stages of review by the relevant authorities of their new health and safety operating protocol which will be deployed to their ships to support their return to operations, initially in the Mediterranean and as currently planned, from 16 August onwards for some markets.
As a reminder, MSC’s new health and safety operating protocol has been designed based on regional and national guidelines set forth amongst other by the EU Healthy Gateways, the European Union-funded Joint Action, and will also align with those issued by the European Maritime Safety Agency, EMSA. At the present time, we are awaiting for final approval from the national authorities from the countries that our ships plan to visit along their East and West Mediterranean itineraries from the second half of August onwards.
In addition, MSC have taken the decision to extend their temporary halt of operations in the Mediterranean up to 15th August inclusive. As per MSC’s current compensation policy, you will be eligible for a Future Cruise Credit (FCC) which includes a 25% bonus credit that can be used to transfer any such bookings at no cost, to any ship with any itinerary in the MSC Cruises fleet sailing through to December 2021.
